Central Nebraska Economic Development District (CNEDD)
The Central Nebraska Economic Development District (CNEDD) is a 15-county regional development organization that encourages cooperation between local government officials, community-based organizations and the private sector. The District provides the link between federal and state programs and the local level where development actually occurs.
The mission of the CNEDD is to identify and address economic problems and opportunities through a comprehensive economic development strategy which is prepared and coordinated by a locally controlled regional multi-county organization and uses all available resources.
On behalf of our organization, I want to welcome you to Central Nebraska Economic Development. Inc. CNED, Inc. is the non-profit organization within the Central Nebraska Economic Development District (CNDDD) that develops and carries out housing programs for residents in 17 North and Central Nebraska counties.
United States Department of Agriculture - Rural Development (USDARD Kearney Office)
Rural Business programs seek to enhance the quality of life for all rural Americans by providing leadership in building competitive businesses that can prosper in both the domestic and global trading marketplace.
Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC - Kearny Office)
The Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) is a cooperative program of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). NBDC is a business development center that provides start-up, management and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and small business owners through offices throughout the state in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Nebraska Development Network - Central Region
As one of the seven Development Networks in the State of Nebraska, the Nebraska Development Network, Central Region is a group of development service providers in central Nebraska who work together to better meet the needs of the constituents.
Nebraska Economic Development Association
The purposes of NEDA as set forth in our constitution are fourfold:
- To foster economic development in Nebraska.
- To encourage the advancement of the expertise of its members.
- To foster cooperation among economic development professionals in Nebraska.
- To afford professional economic developers a vehicle for assembly and collective expression.
Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Economic Research
The Economic Research Department conducts research on macroeconomic and monetary policy, banking and financial market, payments system, and other issues of importance to the Bank and the Federal Reserve System and communicates the results of this research to policymakers, other researchers. and the general public.
The Nebraska Rural Institute
Held every year in September, the Rural Institute has become the pre-eminent conference of its kind in Nebraska. Focused entirely on rural development issues, the Institute brings together providers, practitioners, researchers, and community activists to network, share, discuss and learn about rural issues, opportunities, challenges, and solutions.

Technical Preservation Services (TPS) has developed this information program to assist historic building owners, preservation consultants, community officials, architects, and developers.
U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of all business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.
